GOOSE POND SANCTUARY

 

Visit and Learn About 600 acres of prairie and wetland restorations on the rich historic Empire Prairie, just off Highway 51 south of Arlington, WI

The tour will be led by Sanctuary Managers Sue and Mark Martin, who for 30 years have studied and lovingly cared for these lands and their natural tenants, and have led the work to bring about one of the largest tall grass prairie restorations in the state. This free, family-friendly talk/tramp will be a 2-1/2-hour experience with a rest break at the half-way point.

    What protection and restoration of 87 species means

Goose Pond is located on Goose Pond Road, which intersects Hwy 51 and Hwy 60 half a mile south of Arlington, Wisconsin. The tour will start at the Goose Pond Manager’s residence at W7503 West Kampen Rd, Arlington. Take Kampen Road about ˝ mile west of Goose Pond Road and turn into the driveway just past the railroad tracks. Phone 608-635-4160 if you need help or more information.
